Horseshoes at Walltown

In January 2018, the new horseshoe pits at Walltown Park Recreation Center were completed by Danny Blake, Dwight Powell and Floyd Wiggleton. Thanks to all of the staff that assisted with breaking the ground on our Park Clean Up Day in September 2017. All of this was able to be accomplished by Walltown Park Recreation Center by winning the grant from the National Recreation and Park Association along with the Walt Disney Company in July 2017.

The horseshoe pits are an extra amenity that Walltown now has to offer to the patrons who stop by and visit. Walltown Park Recreation Center staff will be hosting a horseshoe social to try out the brand new pits and get feedback from the community on events and activities that they would like to see, like a horseshoe tournament.

If you're interested in attending, mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 and/or Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.! Hope you can join us for some fun!

Walltown Park Recreation Center is located at 1308 West Club Boulevard, Durham, NC 27705.
