"Egg-citing" Egg Hunts with DPR
It’s that time of year again! Mr. Bunny is on his way for a visit to Durham! As he hides eggs around some of our DPR facilities and parks, we want to make sure you mark your calendar for some family friendly (and canine friendly) events in April!
Egg Hunts
Egg hunters wanted! Join us at one of our two human Egg Hunts on Saturday, April 13, either at I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center at Campus Hills or West Point on the Eno. Children will be divided into groups according to age. Tell them to keep an eye out for the golden egg and they could win an extra prize! Don’t forget to bring your own basket for collecting eggs. Mr. Bunny will also be hopping around and available to take pictures. Both events are free and open to the public, no pre-registration required. Click here for more information about the Egg Hunts.
Don't let your canine companion miss out on this spring tradition! Bring your dog to West Point on the Eno, where they will experience an egg hunt: Canine style! Join us at West Point on the Eno on Saturday April 13, from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. This Immediately follows the West Point's Human Egg Hunt. Don’t forget to bring your own basket for collecting eggs. Please keep in mind, all dogs must meet the minimum vaccination requirements of the Dog Park. Dogs that are not Dog Park members are allowed, but must show proof of vaccination in advance or on the day of the program. This event is free and open to the public, no pre-registration required. Spring Egg Dive
It's an Eggstravaganza! Join us at the Campus Hills Pool on Saturday, April 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for our annual Spring Egg Dive event! Have you ever gone on an egg hunt in a pool? Participants will be able to dive, splash, and swim for eggs and win prizes. All swim levels are welcome and life vests will be provided. An adult will need to enter the water with children 9 years of age and younger. Registration is limited and each child must register individually. Click here to register today!
