Understanding ActiveNet

We want to make registering for our programs and events easy! That's why we've integrated a user-friendly, resident focused platform that provides quick access to details and immediate sign up for most of our programs offered across our Parks, Recreation Centers and Facilities. This online system, which we refer to as ActiveNet, has many great benefits, is easy to use, and there are no online transaction fees! You're able to search for your favorite programs by keyword, age, day, time, location and more!

How do I use ActiveNet?

After creating an account, you'll be able to search through all of our current programs offered in several categories such as aquatics, athletics, mature adults, canine recreation, teen programs and more! There are several filters to help narrow down what you are looking for. These include options such as choosing which day of the week you want to meet on, what age range you need, location of the program and whether the program still has open spots or not. There is also an option to look at our activities in a map view so you can find programs closest to where you live. 

Each activity will show you the price, age range, gender (i.e. coed, male only, female only), spaces available, registration dates, instructor information, facility information and contact information. If registration has not yet opened for the activity, you can add it to your Wish List as a reminder to register in the future. If the activity is actively registering, add it to your cart, as well as any other activities you want to sign up for, and then proceed to checkout online. ActiveNet will accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover/Diners as methods of payment.

Not only can you register for activities online, but you can request to reserve Durham Parks and Recreation facilities, purchase a Membership (i.e. Lap Swim Visits, Pickleball Visits, PlayMore Card, My Durham, etc.) and purchase Gift Cards, which can be used for activity registration or purchasing a membership.

Follow these simple steps to get started:

1. Start by accessing our registration site
2. Click Create an Account
3. Fill in your name and address. Required fields will be denoted by a red asterisk (*)
4. Fill in your Contact Information. *Note: To receive text message alerts, including cancellation notifications, please indicate your cell phone carrier. Click Next when complete.
5. Enter your personal information then click Next.
6. Fill in your Emergency Contact Information then click Next.
7. Provide your Account Information. Create a secure password you will be able to remember, but others will not be able to guess. If you prefer not to use your email to login, please create an alternate Login ID.
8. Once you complete all required fields, click Create Account.
