NOV 2
- Virtual Mature Men Fitness Hour: It's time to get active! Join us for a virtual hour of fitness. You'll learn exercise principles and techniques using body resistance, free weights, or household items that can be substituted. Interactive instruction will be provided through Zoom. Each participant will receive an email at least 3 days before the program begins with a link to join.
NOV 3
- Virtual Kids Fit: A fun, energetic mix of stretching, flexibility, and balance techniques designed for young children. Kids are able to express themselves and explore what they are capable of in a safe fitness guided environment. Interactive instruction will be provided through Zoom. Each participant will receive an email at least 2 days before the program begins with a link to join.
- Adventure with Legos: Adventure with Legos will give children the opportunity to create Legos projects. Participants will be able to take home their creations from each class to show off their creative skills. In order to participate, registrants must have completed 1st grade by the start of the program.
NOV 4
- Zumba Toning: This Zumba inspired class uses special Zumba Toning Sticks to provide a great body sculpting workout with the same Zumba moves and music you already enjoy at a slightly slower pace. This program takes place in-person in the Holton Career & Resource Center gymnasium.
NOV 5
- Virtual Line Dancing Club: Join us for an hour of music, line dancing, and socialization. No prior experience required, this participant led social club allows members to teach other members a wide range of choreographed routines.
- Roblox: If you love to use your imagination then join us in the Roblox Lab. The computer lab will be available to join other members that also love playing Roblox. Roblox Lab is the best place for online adventures with friends.
NOV 6
- Games Over Gangs: Please join us as we bring awareness to gang violence and indulge in friendly video game competition with other recreation departments across various platforms and games. This program takes place at Holton Career & Resource Center.
NOV 7
- DPR Wiffleball Tournament: Gather your friends and sign up to play in DPR's first Wiffle Ball Tournament! The first 8 teams to register will be in the tournament. Each team must have a minimum of 4 players with a maximum of 5 players, and each team member is required to pay a $5 registration fee. Upon completing registration, the Tournament Coordinator will email participants with rules and other important information.
- History Hike: Man and the River: Man has changed the river; the river has changed man. Come explore the water and floodplain with us. This hike will be about three-miles long and will have two water crossings (the Eno River and Warren Creek), so you may want to bring water shoes. We will meet at the West Point Mill.
NOV 10
- Quick Crafts for Preschoolers: Is your preschooler bored at home playing with the same toys? If so, join us virtually each Tuesday to create a new craft. Interactive instruction will be provided through Zoom. Each participant will receive an email at least 2 days before the program begins with a link to join. The supplies for each week will be available for contactless pick-up each Monday from 2pm-5pm at WD Hill Recreation Center.
- Virtual Fast 30: Short on time but still want to get your heart pumping? Need to change up your workout routine to burn more? Join us for a virtual 30 minute full body workout using your own body weight and equipment to increase flexibility and strength, while burning off those extra pounds and firming your muscles. This workout will definitely have you wanting to come back for more and more and more?
