DPR Holiday Happening's Guide

The holidays are here and we're spreading cheer to all who come near (the City of Durham)! From pups to humans, there is something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season! We know you're busy buying gifts, preparing for guests, attending holiday parties and wrapping up those year-end work projects, so we're sharing the official DPR Holiday Happening's Guide for all the go-to details on our upcoming holiday events...

• Santa Paws | Friday, December 3 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Durham Armory
  Join us for an evening of holiday fun with your canine friends. Bring your canine friend out to meet Santa! Santa will be available for photos with your pet. This event also includes a canine ugly sweater contest, holiday pet market, and canine food drive. For more information, visit our website.
  
  
• CANCELED - Jingle Bells Holiday Bazzar | Friday, December 10 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Edison Johnson Recreation Center 
  Knock out some holiday shopping at the Jingle Bells Holiday Bazaar. Shop unique finds from local makers and more. For more information, visit ActiveNet.
  
  
• Laser Light Show | Saturday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. at the Durham County Memorial Stadium
  Join DPR for a 30-minute festive holiday themed laser light show! This free drive-in style event will offer music played through your car radio that is matched to the amazing light show viewed out your window. Reserve your parking spot today. Please remain in your car or assigned space unless visiting the restroom. Please visit www.dprplaymore.org for a full list of rules and answers to FAQs. The event is rain or shine but if the wind is too high or weather is too severe we will reschedule to the next night. Gates open 1 hour before show time.
  
  
  
  At this event, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for those in need in our community. If you are able, please bring an item from each person in your car. These will be collected at check-in. This is not required but we hope to collect a bounty of food to share with those who need it. Rain date December 12. Register online through ActiveNet.
  
  
• Holiday Open House | Sunday, December 12 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at West Point on the Eno
  Join us for our annual winter tradition! Enjoy refreshments, historic holiday decorations, festive music, and holiday crafts from yesteryear. No need to register - just come on out, rain or shine! Visit ActiveNet for location details and additional information.
  
  
• A Frosty Family Affair | Friday, December 17 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Holton Career & Resource Center
  It's the most wonderful time of the year! The holiday season brings many reasons to celebrate so bring the whole family and spread love and cheer at Holton Career and Resource Center! We will provide refreshments and tons of fun activities. This event is free for the whole family. Register online through ActiveNet.

  Holiday Parade | Saturday, December 18 starting at 11 a.m. in Downtown Durham (Main Street)
  Cheer on dynamic floats, hometown bands, drill teams, schools, and community groups as they make their way down Main Street at the Durham Holiday Parade. The procession will conclude with a guest appearance from Santa. This event is rain or shine! For more information, visit our website.
