Swing for the Fences: DPR Spring Athletics Lineup
Swing for the fences and hit a home run this spring during Durham Parks and Recreation's athletic leagues and offerings! From co-rec adult volleyball and softball to bitty baseball and tennis lessons, our spring sports lineup is loaded with opportunities for all ages to participate in a new sport and get active. Ready to join the team!? Registration is taking place now through the end of February and beginning of March.
Here's a go-to guide featuring some of the athletics programs you won't want to miss this Spring...
- Adult Softball: Weekday Men's & Co-Rec
- Open to ages 17 years and older. Regular season includes 12 games (2 per week) and tournament for each division. Games begin March 14. Register online through February, 28. For more information, visit our website.
- Adult Co-Rec Volleyball
- Open to ages 17 years and older. This league is self-officiated and games are played six on six with a maximum of twelve players per team. Tentative start date for games is March 8. Register online through February, 25. For more information, visit our website.
- Adult Women's 30+ Soccer
- Open to women ages 30 years and older. Games will begin in March and will be played at Pineywood Park. Register online through March 1. For more information, visit our website.
- Adult Bull City Kickball
- Open to ages 17 years and older. Co-ed league with games taking place on Thursdays and located at C.M. Herndon Park. Register online through March 7. For more information, visit our website.
- Adult and Youth Tennis Leagues and Lessons
- We offer tennis leagues and lessons at a variety of Durham locations through the year. Leagues and lessons are offered for all ages and abilities. Visit ActiveNet to register and for more information, visit our website.
- Bitty Baseball
- Open to boys and girls ages 4-6 years old on or by March 19, 2022. Game days are on Saturdays, taking place over 6 weeks. Register online through March 4. For more information, visit our website.
- Pickleball

And don't forget about our Community Free Play Days, taking place now through June 30. We're offering free court access to all individuals and families on our outdoor basketball courts and tennis courts. Courts are available first come first serve.
